Wow, didn't realize how long it's been since I actually submitted something. I'm not dead... not yet. A whole year is no longer an inexplicably long period of time, but just another insignificant fraction of my life. Not that I'm depressed about it (in fact right now I'm happier than I've been in a long time) but when you realize what actually happened, you just have to ponder on that point for a minute. Sorry to anybody who likes my dock icons...I stopped using ObjectDock a while ago due to some of my dislikes of its behavior, and now that Windows 7 has its "SuperBar" and everything is aware that it should support 256px for Vista/7, it's r

I don't know what draws me to it, but Illustrator has got me hooked more than Photoshop ever did. I have a feeling it has something to do with my admitted lack of skill with freehand drawing, and possibly my lack of a tablet...but I've never had as much fun in Photoshop as I have modifying anchors and beziers. Maybe it's the fact that all I ever did in Photoshop was photomanipulation and it's much more of (at least the feeling of) original art than photomanipulation ever was. Also, if the pen tool intimidates you, I suggest you never even try messing with gradient meshes. Even I'm afraid of them...

It's interesting - my most popular works are by far my least imaginative. All the "useful" stuff like dock icons get view after view and download after download. I don't even have to promote them - search engines do all the work for me. But when it comes to the stuff I pour a good amount of time and effort into, like my personal favorite AH-1 Super Cobra vector art or Digital Evolution fictional CD case, I end up with pitiful numbers of views whenever I don't plug them in every possible location. It would be nice if you could promote your own art in some sort of "personal picks" sidebar that showed up on every one of your art pages, as peopl
